Missionaries in Haiti safe from earthquake
“Call on me in times of trouble. I will rescue you, and you will honor
Me.” (Psalm 50:15)
By now, you know about the devastating earthquake that hit
this country on January 12th.
Our hearts are filled with sorrow as we see the pain and suffering of
the people on this island nation.
We received word yesterday that our missionaries, Gersan and
Betty Valcin (see photo), were not injured in the earthquake. Their home is still standing,
but the government has asked them to leave due to the risks associated with the
aftershocks.
We have no information regarding the five Awana clubs in Port-au-Prince. Please join the Awana staff as we pray for
the people of Haiti,
for our missionaries and for the Awana leaders and clubbers in these
churches: Eglise Baptiste Conservatrice,
Eglise Tabernacle de la foi, Ecole Vision Nouvelle, College Ruben Marc and
Eglise Evangelique de Nazon.
